Thaba Khaya Lodge means “house on a rock” which is an accurate description as the lodge sits on top of a granite out-crop. The elevated bar and pool deck offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, as well as a watering hole where animals often come to drink. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge areas or on decks which create relaxed social settings. Thaba Khaya Lodge has a maximum capacity of 16 so guests experience personal service from our friendly staff. All the stylish and comfortably designed rooms provide for privacy and an enjoyable retreat.
Whether you want to lounge by the pool and listen to the wide variety of birds call or if you’re adventurous and want to go on a guided walking safari, Thaba Khaya Lodge is the perfect travel destination just outside of the city.
The Bush Camp, which is also located on the Sable Ranch National Heritage Site, accommodates volunteers, both local and international, who are interested in learning more about nature on a working ranch or game farm. As Sable Ranch National Heritage Site is a breeding ranch, this is an ideal place to study and learn about animals and their surroundings. The Bush Camp has a communal lounge, outside bar, BBQ area, swimming pool and a large covered patio. Go to "Volunteer" to learn more about The Bush Camp and its volunteer program. |
