Sable Ranch is officially registered as a Natural Proclaimed Heritage Site with the South African Natural Heritage Programme and is supported by the proactive breeding of rare Sable and Roan Antelope, made available through the sale of excess numbers, generally by public auction to other interested game ranches.
There is no commercial hunting on Sable Ranch. We encourage guests to get involved in conservation and nature. By staying at Thabakhaya Lodge, or The Bush Camp, you contribute to the preservation of South Africa's natural diversity and heritage.
No profits leave Sable Ranch, it is all put back and used for the conservation projects and day to day running of the ranch, Thabakhaya Lodge & the Bush Camp - the tourism funds the conservation.
Sable Ranch has one of the largest breeding groups of Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe sable and roan antelopes.
Imagine enjoying nature at its most beautiful, where all the animals are in prime condition and exclusively yours to view.
Along with Sable Ranch, Mr Keeley is also the proud owner of Cousine Island Seychelles, another conservation project that he has been working on during the past few years. This beautiful island has just been awarded the "World's Leading Green Destination" award! For further information on this beautiful island, please visit
